Coaching

I combine the knowledge I’ve gained as a runner and coach with the methods of coaches Jack Daniels, Arthur Lydiard, Steve Magness, Jason Koop, and Jay Johnson to create a customized training plan to improve your running and overall fitness. But I’m not just going to give you a great training plan. You’ll get continuous support, feedback and optimization of your plan (that’s the fun part!). My goal is to make running fun for you, help you become a great runner so, eventually, you don’t need a coach (but want to keep working with me).
I currently coach athletes training for a variety of races from 5Ks and road half marathons to 50K, 50 mile and 100-mile mountain trail races. I approach my running and coaching around four pillars:

  • Fun – it has to be fun!
  • Physical fitness – running, strength, and mobility.
  • Nutrition (I coach both vegan and open-minded non-vegan athletes)
  • Mind – mental strength is critical to success in training and racing.
 
Pricing is $125 per month. You’ll receive a weekly custom plan, daily feedback and plan adjustments, and consultation via phone/text/email/Skype seven days per week. If you’re in the Frederick, Maryland area we can meet in person!

I use FinalSurge to plan your workouts, analyze your runs, and provide feedback. Your plan and the support you’ll receive from me will include strength and mobility routines, tips and feedback on nutrition, and mental tools for dialing in your mindset to optimize your training and racing.

I also offer training consultation by email, telephone, video chat, or in person if you would like input on how to optimize your training plan or nutrition strategies for training and racing. Pricing is $100 per hour.
